    Be the Magic Foundation Brightens the Holidays for Fresh Start Families

    For the 2024 holiday season, Be the Magic Foundation partnered with Fresh Start for Children & Families to fulfill the wishes of 34 children. Our Wizards stepped into Santa's shoes and worked tirelessly to wrap and deliver over 300 gifts for 17 different families in need. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

    Honoring our Heroes: 9/11 Americas Response

    For the second year in a row, Bit-Wizards joined other local businesses in sponsoring a special event honoring the men and women involved in America’s first response against the Taliban following the attacks on 9/11 - Task Force Dagger. This year focused on the Air Force Special Forces’ contribution to the operation and concluded with the 2nd annual toast by the U.S. Army Green Berets of ODA 595.

    Be the Magic Foundation 2023 Year in Review

    Bit-Wizards’ Be the Magic Foundation (BTMF) proudly continued its support of the community in its third year. Through several partnerships, 23 local nonprofits, organizations, and students received a combined $156,943 in cash donations and over $363,680 in services and volunteer support throughout 2023.

    For 2023, Bit-Wizards' Be the Magic Foundation provided 245 gifts for 27 children residing at Fresh Start for Children & Families. Every item requested and more was purchased and wrapped with holiday cheer by the staff at Bit-Wizards.

    Be the Magic Foundation Expands Partnership with PAWS

    To kick off its third year of partnership with the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, Bit-Wizards' Be the Magic Foundation (BTMF) is doubling down on its support in 2023. On Saturday, April 29th, BTMF presented PAWS’ Executive Director, Ashley Degraaf, a check for $20,000 and spent the afternoon volunteering onsite. In addition to the cash donation and over 40 hours of Wizard volunteer time at the facility, PAWS will also receive a total of $20,000 in hardware and skill-based services.

    Be The Magic Foundation 2022 Year in Review

    Bit-Wizards’ Be the Magic Foundation (BTMF) reached new heights during its second year of conception. Through a variety of partnerships, a total of 24 local nonprofits, organizations, and students received a combined $176,362 in cash donations and over $249,800 in services and volunteer support throughout 2022.

    Behind the Scenes of Wizzy Rover Camp 2022

    For the second year in a row, Bit-Wizards, through its charitable extension, the Be the Magic Foundation, partnered with the HSU Educational Foundation to host a week-long programming and robotics camp. This mini-documentary follows veteran software engineer, Dave Perkins, who spearheaded the camp last year, and recent graduate and new-hire, Lulu Colvin, as they assemble and prep Arduino boards and other hardware for over twenty middle and high school students, who will be assembling and programming remote controlled rovers, which they will put to the test by racing them through an end-of-camp obstacle course. Numerous other employees and even family members came together to lend a hand, making this a truly company-wide effort. In the end, every kid walked away with a working rover, and an experience they’ll never forget.

    Be the Magic Foundation Brings Christmas Spirit to Families in Need

    Several years ago, the team at Bit-Wizards decided that in lieu of client gifts and holiday cards, the company would donate to families in need. For 2022, Bit-Wizards' Be the Magic Foundation chose to donate to 14 families, including 25 kids, that reside at Fresh Start for Children and Families.

    Inaugural ODA 595 Canteen Cup Ceremony

    In October 2022, Bit-Wizards participated in a special event hosted by the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce honoring the U.S. Army Green Berets of ODA 595 and U.S. Air Force Special Forces combat controllers, now known as the Horse Soldiers, who made the first strike back against the Taliban following the attacks on 9/11. Having recently hosted the Final Goblet Ceremony honoring the Doolittle Raiders of WWII, the Chamber decided to carry on the tradition by creating personalized silver canteen cups for the Horse Soldiers so they can gather in remembrance and toast their comrades, turning over the cup of any member who has passed.

    Be the Magic Foundation Donates to Choctawhatchee High School

    As part of its 2022 philanthropic initiatives, Bit-Wizards’ Be the Magic Foundation selected two organizations at Choctawhatchee High School (CHS) as donation recipients. During Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s First Friday Coffee, Choctawhatchee Style Marchers Director of Bands, Anthony Denaro, and Choctawhatchee High School Theatre Director, Karen Monroe, each received $2,500 checks for the 2022-2023 school year.

    Be the Magic Foundation Partners With Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge

    20 members of the Bit-Wizards team volunteers for a Community Works Day with Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge as part of Be the Magic Foundation partnership. The group assists with the completion of a squirrel habitat and clearing underbrush in an area designated for a new classroom.
