Behind the Scenes of Wizzy Rover Camp 2022
For the second year in a row, Bit-Wizards, through its charitable extension, the Be the Magic Foundation, partnered with the HSU Educational Foundation to host a week-long programming and robotics camp. This mini-documentary follows veteran software engineer, Dave Perkins, who spearheaded the camp last year, and recent graduate and new-hire, Lulu Colvin, as they assemble and prep Arduino boards and other hardware for over twenty middle and high school students, who will be assembling and programming remote controlled rovers, which they will put to the test by racing them through an end-of-camp obstacle course. Numerous other employees and even family members came together to lend a hand, making this a truly company-wide effort. In the end, every kid walked away with a working rover, and an experience they’ll never forget.
